What is?
Every foreign citizen who comes to Brazil, with the exception of the cases provided for by law, needs a specific visa for the activity he will perform in the country.

Foreigners - not from countries with visa waiver agreements with Brazil. Check here if you need a visa.
Steps for carrying out this service
1. Fill electronic form
In the visa application process, an electronic form is filled in with the upload of photos and the necessary documents.

2. Go to the consulate interview
After completing the electronic filling of the form, you must print the receipt / protocol and take it, together with the original documentation, to the Brazilian Consulate.

After checking and processing your documents, the Consular Agent will confirm delivery of the request and indicate the payment to be made.

Treatment to be given to the user in the service
The user must receive, according to the principles expressed in Law No. 13.460 / 17, a service based on the following guidelines:

• Presumption of the user's good faith;

• Safety; and
• Ethic.

The public service user, as established by law No. 13.460 / 17, is entitled to face-to-face assistance, when necessary, in wholesome, safe, signposted, accessible and adequate facilities for service and attendance.

Information on who is entitled to priority treatment
Persons with disabilities, the elderly aged 60 or over, pregnant women, lactating women, people with infants and the obese are entitled to priority care, as established by law 10,048, of November 8, 2000.
