APPLICATION FORM


PAYMENT AND FEES

The administrative fee can be paid in cash (only personally - do not send money together with application!) or by bank transfer.

HOW TO APPLY


Applications are possible in person, through travel/visa services, by regular mail, or express courier.

For submitting applications in person it is not necessary to make an appointment.

Submit all documents required and the passport. If by any reason the passport cannot be delivered with the application, it is necessary to submit a colour photocopy of the main page of the passport,(containing holder's data and picture, number of the passport, date of issuance, date of expiry) in its original size . The original passport can be submitted later for the issuance of the visa.

The passport must have at least 3 blank pages for the issuance of the visa.

Do not staple documents together.

Do not cut any pages of documents to be submitted.

Copies of the passport pages must be scanned in their original size in B/W and be printed on a A4 sheet.

Print each page of forms or documents separately on single pages, do not print on both sides of the paper.

Print application form in its original size (A4 sheet).

Attach picture to application form.

If applying by e-mail, documents must be scanned in high resolution and colour, and be saved in JPEG format. Original documents must be submitted by courier, mail or personally on the date of issuance of the visa.

When scanning passport pages, please select the exact area of the passport page.

Once the visa is authorized, applicant will be informed by e-mail.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to arrange for the collection of the passport, as well as the payment of the respective costs.

TRANSIT VISA Stopover in Angola

Validity: 60 days upon issuance.

Number of entries: 1 or 2.

Length of authorized stay: 5 days.

No extension of stay (visa renewal) possible.

Administrative fee: EUR 90,00 (payment in advance).

Issued to persons who, for urgent reasons, need to enter national territory, medical emergencies, casualties, as well as seamen/technicians in the oil sector.

Validity: 7 days upon issuance.

Number of entries: 1

Length of authorized stay: 7 days.

Extension of stay (visa renewal): 1 for the same period of time

Administrative fee: EUR 90,00 (payment in advance - seamen/technicians can pay in cash when collecting visa)

Time for processing the application: 2-3 working days.

The Short-Term Visa does not allow its holder to establish residence nor to engage any type of paid professional activity.

- For inviting private companies in Angola: submit copy of the Angolan commercial register (Alvará Comercial)

- Invitation letter must be directed from Angola to the Embassy by fax (+43 1 7187486).

- Proof of means of subsistence while in Angola (equivalent to USD 200/day; please present bank account statement for the past 6 months) OR formal declaration of obligation from the inviting person/organization

- Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or information about accommodation in the invitation letter).

- Copy of reservation of onward or return flight and visa to a third destination

WORK VISA Temporary authorized employment, for public or private companies.

Validity: 60 days upon issuance.

Number of entries: multiple.

Length of authorized stay: valid for the duration of the work contract:

Administrative fee: EUR 200,00 (payment in advance).

The Work Visa allows only engaging in professional activities for the company which requested the visa.

The Work Visa does not allow its holder to establish residence.

Companions/family members must apply for a Temporary Stay Visa.

Extension of stay (visa renewal): renewable until final decision of the pertinent authorities on granting the residence permit.

The Residence permit visa allows its holder to engage in professional activities.

Companion/family member of the holder of a Study Visa, Visa for Medical Treatment, Privileged Visa, Work Visa.

Family member of the holder of a valid residence permit.

Spouse of an Angolan national.

Validity: 60 days upon issuance.

Number of entries: multiple.

Length of authorized stay: 365 days.

Extension of stay (visa renewal): renewable successively until the conclusion of proceedings which have been the reason for its granting.

Administrative fee: EUR 200,00 (payment in advance).

Please note that if visa is not granted or the traveller cancels the trip, the administrative fee will NOT be refunded.

Time for processing the application: to be informed.

The Residence permit visa does not allow its holder to establish residence in Angola.

Special requirement for companion/family members of the granted visa must not exceed the time limit of the visa granted to the holder of a Study Visa, Visa for Medical Treatment, Privileged Visa, Work Visa.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All documents in foreign languages must be translated into Portuguese (excepted are Passport, International Health Certificate, flight and hotel reservation; Austrian Certificate of residence) and previously authenticated by the local authorities (in Austria: Provincial Tribunals "Landesgerichte" and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Legalisierungsbüro; in Croatia and Slovenia: Ministry of Foreign Affairs). Please request an ordinary authentication, no Apostille. The holder of a Privileged Visa can apply for a residence permit.

The Privileged Visa can be issued in Angola.

Lenght of authorized stay: 1 year.

Extension of stay (visa renewal): renewable successively for the same period of time until completion of studies or internship.

Administrative fee: EUR 200,00 (payment in advance).

Please note that if visa is not granted or the traveller cancels the trip, the administrative fee will NOT be refunded.

Time required for processing the application: to be informed.

The holder of a Study Visa is allowed to engage only in internship-related professional activities.

The Study Visa does not allow its holder to establish residency in the Republic of Angola.

The companion/family member of the holter of a Study Visa must apply for a Temporary Stay Visa.

c) Programme of the internship or contract for the vocational training (ORIGINAL) authenticated by the Angolan Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs

VISA FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT Undergo medical treatment in a public of private medical unit

Validity: 60 days upon issuance.

Number of entries: multiple.

Length of authorized stay: 180 days.

Extension of stay (visa renewal): in well-founded cases, renewable successively for the same period of time until completion of medical treatment.

Administrative fee: EUR 200,00 (payment in advance).

Please note that if visa is not granted or the traveller cancels the trip, the administrative fee will NOT be refunded.

The Visa for Medical Treatment does not allow its holder to engage in professional activities nor to establish residency in the Republic of Angola.

The companion/family member of the holder of a Visa for Medical Treatment must apply for a Temporary Stay Visa.
